Crunchy Crispy and Tasty of course!

These crunchy snack bars are one of my all time family favorites. They are easy to make too. I like eating these for a treat whenever I want something crunchy and sweet. This recipe is perfect for the winter holidays, because of its comforting oat, honey, and coconut flavors. The flavors of toasted coconut and oats really come through in this recipe. This recipe is delicious and it only uses the simplest of ingredients. If you make this it is sure to become one of your favorite comfort foods.


Makes- about 25/30 bars                      Time – 1 hour


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups of dry shredded coconut
  • 2 cups of brown sugar
  • 2 cups of oats
  • 1 cup of coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. melt the coconut oil and honey then set it aside in a large bowl
  2. mix all the dry ingredients, add coconut oil mixture and mix well with your hands
  3. put in a parchment covered baking pan and pat down the mixture with your hands and bake at 300º until golden brown for about 45 minutes
